General About Me
Hello everyone,
I am an academic librarian who manages the Germanic, film and periodical collections in a busy Faculty library. This involves everything from selection and cataloguing to budget control and subject specialist enquiries. I am also involved with user education and give training sessions to our students formally and on an ad-hoc basis. I have recently gained my Chartered Member status of CILIP and I am a member of the ARLG national committee. My research interests include new technologies and their impact on service provision, the impact of changes in cataloguing theory upon practical cataloguing, classification theory and information seeking behaviour. Other fields of interest include history, literature, linguistics, and the study of languages. I am professionally committed and continually look for new opportunities to develop myself and my skills.
